Sonya won our Colleague of the month award for March
We are delighted to continue our series of spotlighting exceptional individuals within our organization. Our second employee in the spotlight is Sonya Finlay, one of our Senior Credit Controllers who won Colleague of the Month in March. Sonya has been an integral part of the Close Brothers Premium Finance team for over 17 years, and her dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. What has been your biggest achievement in the last month?
To remain calm and collected in all the chaos that is happening in the world out there, the cost of living crisis is not helping people out there, so I'm doing the best I can in todays times to meet the clients needs, as this is important to me.
What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in the last month?
Remaining calm and collected. We do take on quite a bit of criticism with the way the world is turning at the moment. Being able to empathise with the client is key here, they appreciate it when they know we are listening.
What are you excited for in the upcoming months?
For the last 5 years I've taken everything one day at a time. I cannot predict what is happening in the next couple of months but look forward to the challenges ahead.
What are your aspirations for the future at Close Brother Premium Finance?
I will always be a credit controller at heart so I have found my place, one day I aspire to be a deputy to my manager Sarah Norton.
What do you enjoy most about working at Close Brothers Premium Finance?
I have been with the same team for the last 17 years so I've found my place and my family in Close Brothers Premium Finance. I have my account managers, my client and my brokers and they all keep me well and truly busy.
